A’ori Mai is bringing Tahitian culture to the heart of Florida on October 4-5, 2025. This ‘Ori Tahiti competition, organized by Tylon Teaitu Buendia in partnership with Toa Afi, will showcase traditional Polynesian dance across multiple categories including Solo ‘Ōte’a, Group ‘Ōte’a, Group ‘Aparima, and Group Rohipehe. The promotional image features a Tahitian dancer in traditional performance attire, complete with ceremonial headdress and shell accessories, against a backdrop of Polynesian-inspired patterns. This cultural celebration aims to highlight the artistry and athleticism of Tahitian dance forms, with registration details coming soon. The event represents an opportunity for both participants and spectators to experience authentic Polynesian cultural traditions right in Central Florida.
